#7 – Monochromatic Color Scheme

If you are planning to use your favorite color or a neutral color in a living room, dining room, great room, bedroom or any larger room or throughout, remember this; use darker shades and lighter tints of that exact same color on archways, window sills, art niches, or accent walls. Furnishings are also in the same neutral color.  This color scheme is called Monochromatic and gives the room a depth and inviting feel to it.  Subtle and soothing.  I highly recommend this style if you are planning to sell your home in the near future and/or have high ceilings that require tall ladders and such.Common-color-mistakes_monochromatic-colors
